Glass & Aluminium FAQ:
Which aluminium colours are available?
There are 5 standard aluminium colours available, namely Black, Bronze, Charcoal, Natural and White. We can, however supply any almunium colour, but it will be more expensive with longer lead times.
What are the lead times?
Lead times are very project specific, but it’s safe to say that most projects take 10-15 working days to complete. We always aim to finish projects faster than that, but we also don’t want to make empty promises. Please contact us to enquire regarding your specific project for a more accurate lead time.
Why are you sometimes more expensive than other aluminium suppliers?
We are the only company in town that still sticks to buying the standard CREALCO aluminium from Wispeco. We simply refuse to lower the quality of the raw material we buy, so we don’t use ANY GenX material to manufacture our products. When we compare apples with apples, our pricing turns out to be cheaper in many cases.
What is the difference between Crealco and GenX aluminium?
Crealco aluminium has been the industry standard for more than 30 years, but then 2020 came and the virus forced a lot of companies to unfortunately cut cost, resulting in the birth of the GenX brand. GenX is a thinner and lighter material that bends more easily than Crealco aluminium does.
I have paid my order, what now?
After paying for your order, the process is as follow:
- Take final measurements on site
- Approve final designs
- Wait for material to arrive
- Manufacture products
- Installation
Throughout the whole process, you will be placed closely in touch with a project manager who will keep you updated, listen and solve your concerns / problems you may face and also ensure that the project is handled with the necessary care and attention to detail.
Are you AAAMSA Registered?
We sure are! You can view our certificate here. We have passed all the required tests performed by AAAMSA and have been proud members of the group since 2004.

Steelworks FAQ:
What thickness of glass is used for balustrades?
That depends on the type of balustrade:
Frameless: 12mm Toughened Safety Glass
Framed: 8mm Toughened Safety Glass
What are the lead times?
Once a deposit is paid, final measurements and final designs will be done within 2 days during which the order will also be placed, creating a 2-3 weeks wait for Glass balustrades to be delivered from the supplier. In these 2-3 weeks, the brackets will be ordered/manufactured. The day after the glass has arrived installation will take place.
Why are you sometimes more expensive than other suppliers?
Some other installers use normal safety glass for balustrades which isn’t at all in AAAMSA’s standard and just borderline unsafe. We use toughened glass which lives in perfect harmony with AAAMSA regulations.
